Cheen, also known as Cherine Amr, is a dynamic Egyptian musician, guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in Alexandria. She started singing at the young age of six and later became notable for being the first female musician to form a metal band in Egypt, called Massive Scar Era (Mascara), beginning her musical journey in 2004. Over the years, Cheen has explored a wide range of musical genres, incorporating electronic elements into her works and evolving from metal to pop and rock. Her solo projects include the album "Alam Tany" (Another World) and singles like "Abaad Makan," which featured in the award-winning Egyptian film *Microphone* (2010). Cheen’s music often reflects her personal search for identity and is celebrated for its blend of 1980s-inspired pop with contemporary electronic sounds, as evidenced in her song "Estena".
