Richie Ramone

Richie Ramone is best known as the drummer for the iconic punk band the Ramones from 1983 to 1987. He was the only drummer to be credited as the sole writer of Ramones songs, penning tracks like “Somebody Put Something in My Drink” and contributing vocals to others. His powerful, high-speed drumming style brought a fresh intensity to the band during his tenure and is featured on albums like Too Tough to Die, Animal Boy, and Halfway to Sanity.

After leaving the Ramones, Richie pursued solo work, showcasing his musical versatility as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His solo releases, like Entitled and Cellophane, blend punk roots with melodic and hard rock influences, proving he's more than just a drummer—he’s a dynamic artist with a unique voice in the punk scene. Richie continues to tour and release music, keeping the punk spirit alive for both longtime fans and newer generations.
