Ben Tweedt is a pianist, composer, arranger, and music educator based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Brunswick, Ohio and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Tweedt began his classical piano training at a young age. He pursued a degree in piano performance at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he shifted his focus towards improvisation and composition. In 2016, he moved to Cincinnati, where he works as a freelance musician, performing and teaching across various genres. Tweedt is known for his versatility, performing with notable artists like Walfredo Reyes Jr. and Dan Wilson. He was the grand prize winner of the 2019 American Jazz Pianist Competition.
Recently, Tweedt has released works such as his album *Life Cycle*, which features tracks like "Back to School," "Flow Out," and "Iowão." This album showcases his ability to blend powerful and nuanced musical elements, reflecting his growth as a composer and performer.
