**Camerata Hungarica** is a renowned Hungarian ensemble known for its exceptional performances of early European music, spanning from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period. Founded in 1969, the group has been actively touring and performing abroad since 1973, participating in numerous early music festivals across the globe, including countries like Mexico, Japan, Sweden, and Sicily. Under the artistic direction of László Czidra, Camerata Hungarica is celebrated for its technical skill and musicality, particularly in interpreting Hungarian and East and West European music from the 16th to 18th centuries. They have made significant contributions to the recording of historical music, including the first-ever recording of secular music from Buda Castle in the 16th century and music from Transylvania and historical Hungarian territories. One of their notable recordings, the Vietoris Manuscript, won the Grand Prix of the Paris Academy in 1975.
