Rogier Pelgrim

Rogier Pelgrim is a Dutch singer-songwriter from Wageningen, born on November 7, 1986, in Dordrecht. He gained recognition after becoming a finalist in the first season of the TV show "De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland" in 2012 and winning the Grote Prijs van Nederland the same year. Before his solo career, he was part of the rock band Nuclear Playground. Pelgrim has released several albums, including "Roll The Dice" in 2014 and "Birds and Busy People" in 2017. Recently, he has shifted towards creating music in Dutch, with his first Dutch-language album "Dit Is Niet Het Eind" released in 2023. His music often addresses contemporary social themes, and he has performed at numerous festivals and concerts.

Pelgrim's musical influences include Jeff Buckley, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Rice, and Glen Hansard. He has also worked as a producer and podcast maker for the Evangelische Omroep, creating content like the podcast "Rock my soul" in 2020. With a career spanning over 700 performances since 2009, Rogier Pelgrim continues to evolve as an artist, exploring new themes and languages in his music. His recent releases include "Geef Je Aan De Wind" and "Loop Maar Door," showcasing his ability to craft meaningful and engaging songs.
