The Engegård Quartet is a Norwegian string quartet founded in 1989. The quartet is named after the Engegård manor in the municipality of Stange, where they have their rehearsal and concert venue. The quartet consists of violinists Arve Tellefsen and Elise Båtnes, violist Lars Anders Tomter, and cellist Øystein Sonstad. The Engegård Quartet is known for its interpretations of both classical and contemporary music, and has toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. They have also recorded numerous albums, including the complete string quartets of Edvard Grieg and Johan Kvandal.
