Garotos de Ouro is a Brazilian band that has been a staple of gaúcho music since 1976. Hailing from Cruz Alta in Rio Grande do Sul, they've made a name for themselves playing tradicionalista music that celebrates the culture of southern Brazil. The group has seen many lineup changes over the years, but they've consistently delivered crowd-pleasing hits that blend traditional sounds with more contemporary styles.
Over their long career, Garotos de Ouro has released numerous albums and become known for catchy tunes like "Gaitita" and "No Barulho do Meu Relho." They've weathered tragedies, including the loss of founding member Paulo Gimenes Alves in 1998 and a serious bus accident in 2021, but have persevered to remain one of the most popular gaúcho bands in Brazil.
