Ashford & Simpson were a legendary husband-and-wife songwriting and performing duo, best known for their soulful, heartfelt love songs and enduring impact on R&B music. Comprised of Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, the pair first made waves as songwriters, penning hits for Motown legends like Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell ("Ain't No Mountain High Enough") and Diana Ross ("Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)").
