Eneferens

Eneferens is the brainchild of Jori Apedaile, hailing from the landscapes of the northern United States. An eclectic project that transcends genre boundaries, Eneferens has steadily woven its way through the fabric of atmospheric music, integrating elements of black metal, doom, and folk to forge a deeply emotive brand of ambient metal. Named after a combination of Latin words meaning 'to carry within,' Eneferens is as much an introspective journey as it is a musical endeavor.

Since its inception in 2016, Eneferens has carved out a distinctive niche within the modern metal scene. The 2016 debut 'In The Hours Beneath' displayed a raw blend of melodic introspection and aggressive undertones, setting the stage for a rigorous exploration of human emotion. The following releases, 'The Inward Cold' in 2017 and the critically acclaimed 'The Bleakness of Our Constant' in 2018, saw Eneferens refine its sound with lush, atmospheric soundscapes, and brooding intensity. Jori Apedaile’s creative vision and multi-instrumental prowess are on full display in these works, earning him a place among the ranks of one-person metal projects that are redefining the boundaries of the genre. In a nod to their diverse influences, the cover of The Antlers' 'Kettering' manifests Eneferens's ability to reinterpret indie rock melancholy through their unique, atmospheric lens, further showcasing Apedaile's versatile artistry and the transformative depth of Eneferens' music.
