D'Sound

D’Sound is a Norwegian neo-soul and acid jazz band that has built a loyal international fanbase since forming in 1993. Known for their smooth grooves and soulful melodies, the group originally consisted of vocalist Simone Eriksrud, drummer Kim Ofstad, and bassist Jonny Sjo. With hits like "Tattooed on My Mind" and "Do I Need a Reason," D’Sound quickly became a mainstay in the Scandinavian music scene and beyond.

Over the years, D’Sound has evolved both in sound and lineup, incorporating elements of pop, R&B, and jazz into their music. Despite changes—including guest vocalists and temporary new members—they’ve maintained their signature sound: a blend of chilled-out rhythms, tight musicianship, and heartfelt lyrics. Their enduring appeal is evident in their continued output, including recent releases like “Golden” and “Crybaby,” showcasing their ability to stay fresh while honoring their roots.
