Melodramus

Melodramus is an American progressive metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Formed in 2005, the band initially consisted of Zakkary Hale on lead vocals and guitar, Mikey Collard on bass, Andrew Hopkins on drums, and Ted Newsom (also known as The Rose Phantom) on keyboards and backing vocals. Their music blends elements of metal and progressive pop, creating a unique sound. The band released their debut album, *30 Silver Pieces*, in 2007, followed by *Two: Glass Apple* in 2010. After a hiatus, they released their comeback album, *1+1=1*, in 2019. Melodramus is known for their technical guitar riffs and atmospheric keyboard layers, which contribute to their distinctive progressive metal style.

The band's history includes lineup changes, with Mikey Collard leaving and being replaced by Trevor Alder after the release of *Two: Glass Apple*. The Rose Phantom also departed the band following this album. Currently, Zakkary Hale and Mikey Collard are part of a new band called Melō. Despite the changes, Melodramus has maintained a loyal fan base and continues to be celebrated for their contributions to the progressive metal genre.
