Rubera Roots Band

Rubera Roots Band is a roots reggae and dub group based in Portugal, formed in 2012 (or 2013, depending on the source). The band is deeply rooted in the Rastafari experience, aiming to share a positive and spiritual vibe through their music. They draw influences from roots music, jazz, Afrobeat, funana, semba, and reggae roots, blending these styles to create a unique sound that reflects Creole and African culture. Their debut album, "Militância Rastafari," released in 2014, features 10 tracks that convey messages of militancy, awareness, and reflection, with a strong emphasis on African roots. The album includes notable collaborations with artists like Rodrigo Bispo, Luís Pena, and Tuff Lion.

Rubera Roots Band has gained recognition for their energetic live performances, including appearances at prominent festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash in Spain and the One Love Reggae Festival in the UK. They have also performed in various cities across Europe and Africa, sharing stages with internationally recognized bands. Their music is characterized by smooth grooves, uplifting melodies, and a commitment to authenticity, which has helped them build a devoted fan base both nationally and internationally.
