A Thorn For Every Heart
A Thorn For Every Heart was a post-hardcore band from Chino Hills, California that formed in early 2003. The original lineup included Joel Ryan Holt on guitar, Aaron Peck on drums, Kelvin Cruz on lead vocals, Jeff Harber on guitar and backing vocals, Justin Powell on bass, and Joy Welling on violin. They self-released their debut EP "Silence Is Golden" in 2003, which helped them gain an underground following.
The band went through several lineup changes over the years and released their first full-length album "Things Aren't So Beautiful Now" in 2004 through Kickball Records/Interscope. They toured extensively, playing festivals like Warped Tour and sharing stages with bands like Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday. Though they recorded a second full album in 2007, label issues prevented its official release. A Thorn For Every Heart went on hiatus in 2009 but have reunited for occasional shows since then.
