Sexy Sadie

Sexy Sadie is a Spanish indie rock band whose roots trace back to the early 1990s in Palma de Mallorca. Comprised initially of Jaume "James" Vaquer (vocals, guitar), Miquel "Toni" Planells (guitar), Pedro "Pete" Garrido (bass), and Jaime García (drums), they were significantly influenced by British pop, a factor that helped shape their distinctive sound. Named after The Beatles song from the seminal White Album, Sexy Sadie emerged as part of the Spanish indie music movement, capturing the attention of a dedicated fanbase through energetic and emotive live performances, paired with an adeptness for crafting infectious melodies that meld both melancholic and pop-infused elements.

Over the years, the band experienced a few lineup changes but continued to carry the legacy of their name. Sexy Sadie's discography spans multiple albums and compilations with their most recent releases showcasing a desire to both reflect on their history and keep up with contemporary trends. This is evident in "Butterflies (Remastered 2021)", which breathes new life into one of their beloved releases, and "What Have You Done? 10 Years Of Singles" – a compilation that serves as an introspective look at a decade's worth of their catchy and thought-provoking singles. With "Directo Sala Arena 27.03.04 (Live)", they exhibit the vibrant energy of their live performances – a cornerstone of the band's appeal. Sexy Sadie's impact on the Spanish indie scene continues to be felt, and their musical journey exhibits a profound evolution in style while honoring the heartfelt narrative that has always been at the core of their work.
