Manuel Nawri is a German conductor born in 1974 in Überlingen, Germany. He has studied music in Freiburg, Germany, and Odessa, Ukraine, and has been a recipient of a scholarship from the International Ensemble Modern Academy. Nawri has worked as a conducting fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival and has assisted notable conductors such as Peter Eötvös and Susanna Mälkki. He has collaborated with a variety of ensembles, including Ensemble Modern, Ensemble musikFabrik, and the Basel Sinfonietta, and has participated in numerous festivals worldwide, including the Salzburg Biennale and the Lucerne Festival. Nawri has also held positions such as Artistic Director at Klangzeitort and Deutsche Oper Berlin’s Neue Szenen, and has been a guest professor at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin since 2008.
Nawri's recent work includes conducting releases such as "Aaron Cassidy: A Way of Making Ghosts" and "Samir Odeh-Tamimi: Chamber Works," showcasing his involvement in contemporary classical music.
