Kiran Young Wimberly

Kiran Young Wimberly is a multifaceted artist and spiritual leader who combines her roles as a Presbyterian minister, spiritual director, and musician. Originally from the United States, she has been based in Northern Ireland, where she served for several years in Belfast before relocating to the north coast of Ireland. Her musical work is centered around the **Celtic Psalms Project**, where she sets traditional Irish and Scottish melodies to the psalms. This project aims to bridge cultural and religious divides, particularly in Northern Ireland, through the universal language of music. Collaborating with musical families like The McGraths, she has released several albums under this series, fostering a sense of community and spiritual connection through her art.

Kiran Young Wimberly's journey into this unique blend of music and spirituality began with her love for traditional Irish music, which she discovered while still in her early twenties. Her experiences in Northern Ireland, coupled with her involvement in Celtic prayer services, further deepened her connection to these melodies. She has also founded the nonprofit Celtic Pilgrims to promote community building through music. Her work extends beyond music to spiritual direction and advocacy for peace and reconciliation through her involvement with the Corrymeela Community.
