BFG Straap, whose real name is Antywon Dillard, was an emerging talent in the hip-hop scene known for his raw lyrical talent and distinctive sound blending elements of trap and Southern hip-hop. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, he began gaining traction in the music world with a series of releases that showcased his gritty storytelling and his ability to connect with listeners through an authentic portrayal of street life and personal struggles.
His music career was marked by a prolific work ethic, with titles like "Evil Twins," "Pop Yo Sh!t," and "BIGGEST FLAG," which lay down his ambitious claims in the rap game and capture the energy of Dallas's rap scene. BFG Straap’s capability to craft catchy hooks was evident in tracks like "11:11" and "Habits," while introspective songs like "For The People" revealed a more contemplative side to the artist. His mixtapes "Straap 4 President" and the deluxe version thereof established him as a rising star with a loyal following. Tragically, his career was cut short when he was fatally shot on September 22nd, 2022, in South Dallas – a loss that was felt deeply in the hip-hop community and among his fans who had high expectations for his promising career.
