Монтеск'є

**Монтеск'є** is a Ukrainian dream-pop project created by musician and multi-instrumentalist Ігор Хоркавий. The project was established in 2020 after Хоркавий moved from France. During the pandemic, he recorded his first EP, "Таксі Монтеск'є," while also collaborating with Степан Бурбан on the project Паліндром. Following a two-year hiatus, Монтеск'є released new singles, including "Мандрівник 1927" and "Осліплених днів каламуть," both based on poems by Володимир Свідзінський. In 2023, the single "Паліатив" was released, and in 2024, Монтеск'є announced the album "Літанія радості й смутку," accompanied by singles like "П'яні діти в імлі" (feat. Seira) and "Музика труб під вікнами невиліковно хворих."

Монтеск'є's music blends genres such as dream-pop, neo-psychedelia, indietronica, and lo-fi, often incorporating Ukrainian and French lyrics. The project's style is characterized by its atmospheric and introspective soundscapes, reflecting a blend of cultural influences and personal experiences. With ongoing collaborations and releases, Монтеск'є continues to evolve and contribute to the Ukrainian music scene.
