Marcelo Camelo

Marcelo Camelo is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist best known as a founding member of the influential rock band Los Hermanos. Active primarily from the late '90s through the 2000s, Los Hermanos gained a devoted following in Brazil for their unique blend of rock, samba, and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). After the band went on hiatus, Camelo launched a successful solo career, showcasing a softer, more introspective sound that often melds acoustic elements with poetic lyrics.

His debut solo album, "Sou," released in 2008, received critical acclaim and solidified his place as a thoughtful, genre-blending artist. Since then, Marcelo has released several solo projects and collaborated with other artists, including his work with the band Banda do Mar, which he formed with his wife, Portuguese singer Mallu Magalhães. Known for his artistic integrity and lyrical depth, Camelo continues to be a significant voice in contemporary Brazilian music.
