Éire Óg

Éire Óg is a modern Irish rebel band formed in Glasgow, Scotland, in the early 1990s. They are known for their extensive touring across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the USA, particularly during the mid to late 1990s. The band's sound was distinctive due to their incorporation of marching drums, a style that has been influential and widely adopted by other bands in the genre. Led by Glasgow-born folk rock singer Gary Og, who is now a successful solo artist, Éire Óg's music became a significant part of the soundtrack for a generation during a period of civil strife before the IRA ceasefire in the late 1990s. One of their most iconic releases is the album "Live at the Brazen Head," which remains a celebrated work in the Irish rebel music scene.

Their live performances, such as those captured in "Live at Tully's" and "Live at the Brazen Head," showcase their energetic and uncompromising style, which has contributed to their enduring legacy in Irish folk and rebel music.
