Jan Toft

Jan Toft is a Norwegian vocalist, composer, songwriter, musician, producer, and actor born in 1961 in Haugesund. He co-founded the Norwegian folk-rock band Vamp and was a key member until he left in 1998. Toft returned to Vamp in 2015. He has also written melodies for many of Vamp's songs and collaborated with various artists like Sigvart Dagsland and Vigdis Eidsvåg. In 2003, he released the album *Et Minne Om Deg*, which sold out locally. Toft has received several Spellemannpriser awards with Vamp and was nominated individually in 2010.

Outside of music, Toft has explored acting roles in productions like *Masinandraina-Solens Øye* and *Skyfri himmel*. His work in music and theater reflects his diverse creative talents and contributions to Norwegian arts.
