Martillo Austral

Martillo Austral is a black metal band from Concepción, Chile, formed in 2008. The band is known for its active status in the metal scene and has released several works, including demos and albums. Key members include Diego on vocals and bass, and Alejandro on guitar. The band's history also involves a past member who was associated with an NS activist movement but was removed due to personal differences. Despite this, Martillo Austral is not classified as a National Socialist Black Metal band. The group has been part of the Kindred of the Austral Blizzard circle, which includes other bands like Vientosur and Obscuro Austral, often exploring heathenist and aryanist themes.

The band's lineup has evolved over time, with additions such as Danilo on drums and Felipe on guitar in 2017. Despite the changes, Diego and Alejandro have maintained a core presence, having been friends since childhood. Martillo Austral continues to contribute to the Chilean black metal scene with its distinctive sound and thematic focus.
