MOKOTRON's music is deeply rooted in his heritage, incorporating traditional instruments and storytelling. His recent projects include the remix album "The United Tribes of Bass" and singles like "Ōhākī," which utilizes the kōauau, a traditional Māori flute, and features throat singing over a breakbeat instrumental.

Despite his growing international presence, he remains committed to his local community, focusing on creating music that resonates with his Māori roots.
