Otto Ketting

Otto Ketting was a Dutch composer and trumpeter known for his contributions to contemporary classical music. Born in 1935, he came from a musical family – his father, Piet Ketting, was also a composer. Ketting's work is characterized by its diverse influences, incorporating elements of jazz and serialism, and he often explored complex rhythmic structures and orchestral textures.

Throughout his career, Ketting composed a wide range of works, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, and film scores. Some of his notable pieces include his Symphony No. 3 and Symphony No. 4, as well as "Intrada." He was a significant figure in the Dutch music scene and his compositions continue to be performed and appreciated for their innovative and engaging qualities.
