The Wiggles

The Wiggles are an Australian children's music group that formed in Sydney in 1991. The band's founding members were Anthony Field, Phillip Wilcher, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt. Originally, they were a band for adults before making the transition to a children's act. The Wiggles quickly turned into one of the most popular and enduring groups in the kids’ genre, internationally renowned for their catchy tunes, colorful costumes, and high-energy performances. Their music is part of the formative memories of countless children around the world, focusing on teaching and entertaining through song and dance.

Over the years, the lineup has seen changes with the retirement or departure of key members (including Wilcher's departure in the group's early days and the later retirement of Page, Cook, and Fatt) and the introduction of new Wiggles to continue the legacy. The group's recent releases, including "The Sound of Christmas," "The Sound of Halloween," and "Ready, Steady, Wiggle!" showcase the band's gift for creating thematic, educational, and interactive music content that not only appeals to the young demographic but also retains a sense of nostalgia for parents who grew up with the original lineup. With their warm and engaging approach to children's entertainment, The Wiggles have become a staple in preschool entertainment, providing not just music, but also video content and live shows that energize and engage families across the globe.
