Plague Weaver

Plague Weaver is a Canadian black/doom metal solo project masterminded by multi-instrumentalist Matt, who crafts atmospheric, otherworldly soundscapes from his home studio. Emerging in 2018 with a self-titled EP, the project gained traction with its 2020 debut album *Through the Sulphur* and 2022’s *Ascendant Blasphemy*, blending frostbitten tremolo riffs with glacial doom tempos and visceral growls. Known for DIY ethics and occult-themed lyrics, Matt occasionally recruits live collaborators for performances but maintains full creative control in recordings. Recent releases like *Through the Sulphur Eyes* showcase an evolution toward more layered, cinematic darkness while staying rooted in raw black metal aesthetics.
