System 7

System 7 is a British electronic music duo formed by guitarist Steve Hillage and producer Miquette Giraudy, both former members of the progressive rock band Gong. Combining Hillage’s distinctive guitar work with cutting-edge electronic production, System 7 blends techno, trance, and ambient influences into a unique sound that bridges the worlds of live instrumentation and dance music. Since emerging in the early 1990s, they’ve become regular fixtures in the global electronic scene, known for both their original productions and dynamic live shows.

Their music often draws from their diverse backgrounds, incorporating psychedelic textures and global rhythms into modern club frameworks. System 7 has also been closely associated with the ambient and chillout scenes through their alter ego Mirror System.
