Aristo Sham

Aristo Sham is a super talented pianist from Hong Kong, born on March 12, 1996, who's been blowing minds since he was a kid—starting piano lessons at just three years old in a home where his mom was his first teacher. A total prodigy, he snagged early wins like first prize at the 2006 Ettlingen International Piano Competition and the 2008 Gina Bachauer Junior, even popping up in the UK's *The World’s Greatest Musical Prodigies* doc in 2009, and debuted with the Hong Kong Philharmonic at age 11 under Edo de Waart.

Fast-forward, and this guy's a beast: he grabbed the Gold Medal and Audience Prize at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the first Hongkonger to do so, after racking up top honors at places like Young Concert Artists auditions, Monte Carlo Music Masters, and tons more. With degrees from Harvard (economics BA) and New England Conservatory (MM), plus an Artist Diploma from Juilliard, he's played with heavy-hitters like the London Symphony under Sir Simon Rattle and performed for King Charles and others—now gearing up for epic tours and albums.
