Charly B, born Charles Blanvillain in 1981, is a French reggae artist with French, German, and Armenian roots who has carved out a unique space in the reggae and dancehall scene. His deep love for Jamaica and reggae music began when he spent a formative year at IONA High School in Jamaica as a teenager, living with a local family and immersing himself in the culture. This experience, combined with his studies in sound engineering in Canada and Switzerland, helped him develop his distinctive style. Over the years, Charly B has toured internationally and collaborated with reggae legends like Capleton and Anthony B. He is known for hits like “Prophecies Untold” and albums such as "Journey of Life," which showcase his heartfelt connection to Jamaican music and culture.

Charly B is celebrated for blending his multicultural background with authentic reggae vibes, earning him the nickname “The Real Jama-French.” He’s performed at major Jamaican music festivals including Rebel Salute and the Bob Marley Anniversary, gaining a strong following, especially among younger audiences.
