888

888 is an alternative pop band hailing from Denver, Colorado, that has captured attention with their infectious blend of indie rock and electronic pop. The trio originally formed in 2015 when former members of the hardcore band Drop Dead, Gorgeous—frontman Danny Stills, keyboardist Aaron Rothe, and drummer Danny Cooper—decided to take their music in a vastly different direction. 888's sound is characterized by anthemic choruses, synthesizer-driven melodies, and a vibrant energy that is both introspective and relatable.

Their breakout moment came with the release of the single "Critical Mistakes," which garnered them significant airplay and exposure, leading to a victory in the 2016 93.3 KTCL's Big Gig competition. This success paved the way for their debut EP, 'The Decades,' which included hits like "Critical Mistakes" and "Seattle Rain." Since then, 888 has continued to release a string of singles that showcase their growth and versatility as musicians, such as "Older Now" and the impassioned track "Everybody Can't Complain." They have also shown a willingness to experiment with their sound, releasing remixes like "Pins & Needles (KRKS Remix)" and "Pins & Needles (Xan Griffin Remix)" to put a fresh spin on their original material. With each release, 888 demonstrates a robust and mature command of their craft, cementing their place in the alt-pop scene as a band to watch.
