Marc Reift

Marc Reift is a renowned Swiss classical and orchestral musician born in Fleurier, Switzerland, on August 14, 1955. His parents, both Salvation Army ministers, introduced him to music at a young age, and he was influenced by the works of Chopin, Beethoven, and Verdi. Reift studied at the Bern Conservatory, where he earned a teaching diploma and a trombone soloist's diploma, later obtaining a concert diploma in Cologne. He has had a distinguished career as a performer and conductor, touring over 30 countries with various ensembles, including the Slokar Trombone Quartet. In 1983, he founded his own publishing company, Editions Marc Reift, which now boasts over 12,000 titles, and a CD production company, Marcophon.
