Anna Paulová

Anna Paulová is a highly acclaimed Czech clarinettist born in 1993 in Prague. She began playing the clarinet at the age of eleven under the guidance of Karel Mezera. Her musical education continued at the Prague Conservatory with professors Milan Polák and Ludmila Peterková, and later at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Jiří Hlaváč and Vlastimil Mareš. Additionally, she has received instruction from renowned figures such as Sabine Meyer and Annelien van Wauwe. Paulová has garnered significant recognition through her performances and awards, including the 2nd prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2015 and the 1st prize at the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Interpretation Competition in 2016. She also won the Golden Medal at the Vienna International Music Competition in 2019 and advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich that same year.
