Nasty Savage

Nasty Savage is a pioneering thrash metal band hailing from Brandon, Florida, that originally formed in the early 1980s. Known for their aggressive sound and theatrical live performances, the group was fronted by charismatic vocalist "Nasty" Ronnie Galletti, who famously incorporated smashing television sets over his head into the band's stage act. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1985, is considered a cult classic among fans of early American thrash and helped lay the groundwork for the Florida death metal scene.

Over the years, Nasty Savage released a string of influential records, including Indulgence (1987) and Penetration Point (1989), showcasing their technical prowess and dark, heavy sound. After disbanding in the early '90s, they reunited in the early 2000s and have performed sporadically since. Their legacy lives on among metal aficionados as one of the genre’s early innovators, particularly for their role in influencing the rise of death metal bands in their home state.
