GeGeGe

GeGeGe is a solo project by Ryoto Mizuno, based in Kanazawa, Japan. Mizuno began making music in his home studio around 2017 and quickly gained attention with his lo-fi sound, which blends elements of indie music with Japanese poetry. His work often captures a sense of levitation and has drawn comparisons to US indie artists. Early releases include the EP "Moyamoya" and the full-length album "SF," both from 2017. GeGeGe expanded to live performances in Tokyo by incorporating band members in 2018. Recent albums include "MOON" released in 2019, and he has continued to release new music, such as "また会おう," "目が覚めても," and "光のサイン." Mizuno won the grand prix in the PP CONTEST in 2020, a testament to his rising prominence in the music scene. Currently, GeGeGe is working on new projects, moving his base to Tokyo in 2023 to further his career.
