Tracy Howe is a multifaceted artist known as a songwriter, producer, director, emerging filmmaker, activist, and minister. Born on the Native lands of the Cheyenne and Arapahoe peoples in Boulder, Colorado, Howe has deeply engaged in social justice through music and community work. Touring full-time from 2000 to 2009, Howe performed at colleges, small venues, festivals, churches, house concerts, and prisons across the U.S. and Latin America. Their music, often described as social gospel, reflects themes of liberation, environmental justice, and collective struggle, inspired by firsthand experiences with movements for racial, queer, earth, and border justice. After earning a Master of Divinity from Harvard in 2012, Howe has combined artistry and activism, leading creative projects for faith and justice organizations and supporting other artists through their nonprofits, Restoration Project and Restoration Village Arts.
Howe's work is marked by an ongoing commitment to cultivating humanity in challenging times, with notable albums like "Things That Grow" emphasizing hope and building a better world.
