Colette Valentine is an accomplished collaborative pianist known for her sparkling technique and consummate musicianship, praised by critics and audiences alike. She has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has toured internationally across Europe and Asia. As a dedicated chamber musician, she has collaborated with ensembles like the New York Philharmonic Winds and the Miró Quartet, and is recognized for her work with the Ecco Trio, which received acclaim for its intimate chamber music performances. Beyond performing, Valentine is a respected educator, serving as Head of the Collaborative Piano Department at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music since 2017. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from SUNY Stony Brook and has been involved as official staff pianist and coach for major international competitions and festivals.
Valentine has also contributed to numerous recordings across various labels including Naxos, Albany, and CRI, further showcasing her versatility and dedication to the art of collaborative piano.
