Arthur Buck is a collaborative project between singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur and guitarist Peter Buck, best known as a founding member of R.E.M. The duo teamed up after a chance meeting in Mexico, quickly discovering a creative spark that led to the formation of Arthur Buck. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2018, blends Arthur's emotionally charged lyrics with Buck's signature jangly guitar work, creating a sound that’s both familiar and fresh.
The record delivers a mix of politically tinged rock and moody, melodic pop, highlighting the strengths of each artist while forging a distinctive new identity. Tracks like “Are You Electrified?” and “I Am the Moment” showcase their synergy, blending urgency with introspection.
