Ludwig Bohme is a German organist and conductor who has made a name for himself as a leading interpreter of early music. Born in 1954, Bohme studied organ and church music in Leipzig and has since held positions as organist at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig and the Marienkirche in Lübeck. He is known for his virtuosic playing and his deep understanding of the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Bohme has recorded extensively and has toured internationally, performing at prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
