Daniel Rossen

Daniel Rossen is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist best known as a member of the acclaimed indie rock band Grizzly Bear, where he contributes guitar, vocals, and songwriting. He’s also one half of the folk-rock duo Department of Eagles, a collaborative project with Fred Nicolaus. Rossen is recognized for his intricate guitar work, lush vocal harmonies, and layering of textures that explore everything from chamber pop to experimental folk.

In 2022, Rossen released his first full-length solo album, You Belong There, showcasing a more intimate and orchestral side to his songwriting. The record highlights his signature moody, complex arrangements with lyrical themes that consider solitude, nature, and personal history. In addition to his solo work, Rossen has composed for film, including the 2023 score for the acclaimed movie Past Lives, further expanding his creative reach.
