**Cerebrum** is a Greek progressive death metal band that’s been bending minds since forming in Athens in 2004. Known for their cosmic themes and brain-melting technicality, the group revolves around founding members George Kollias (Nile’s powerhouse drummer) and guitarist George Bokos (ex-Rotting Christ). After a slow-burn start, they dropped their debut *[Spectral Extravagance](https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Cerebrum/Spectral_Extravagance/285105)* in 2012, but it was 2018’s *Cosmic Enigma* and 2021’s *Iridium* that cemented their rep for intergalactic riff labyrinths and raw vocal grit.
