Rachel Talitman

Rachel Talitman is a renowned harpist known for her contributions to the harp repertoire. Born in Tel Aviv, she graduated from the University of Tel Aviv and later studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Suzanna Mildonian, where she earned a higher diploma in harp and chamber music with distinction. She also specialized in French music with Pierre Jamet in Paris. Talitman co-founded the Harpeggio Ensemble in 1980, focusing on promoting lesser-known harp repertoire. In 2004, she established her independent record label, Harp & Co, which has released a diverse range of harp music, including concertos, chamber music, and recitals. Her label has featured compositions dedicated to her by several notable composers, such as Jean-Michel Damase and Michel Lysight. Talitman has received numerous accolades, including the Golden Label award in 2014-2015 and a Life Career Prize in 2017.
