Laid Back

Laid Back is a Danish electronic music duo formed in Copenhagen in 1979 by John Guldberg and Tim Stahl. Known for their laid-back style—which blends elements of electronic, reggae, and pop music—their sound is characterized by an easygoing groove that has been charming audiences for over four decades. Laid Back gained international fame with their 1983 hit single "Sunshine Reggae," which became a summer anthem around the world, as well as "White Horse," released the same year, which solidified their place in the annals of electronic dance music.

With a career that has spanned several eras of music, Laid Back continues to produce and release new material, constantly evolving while staying true to their relaxed, smooth sound. Their recent releases, such as "Uptimistic Music" and "Healing Feeling," showcase their ability to adapt to modern music trends while maintaining the essence of their original style. The duo's influence can be heard in the works of various electronic and pop musicians today, and their willingness to experiment, as evidenced in the diverse tracks from the "Fuck - EP" or their rendition of "House of the Rising Sun," demonstrates their ongoing creative vitality in a dynamic music industry. Laid Back remains a testament to the enduring appeal of music that can both soothe and stimulate listeners across generations.
