Sefyu

Sefyu is a French rapper known for his raw, powerful delivery and socially conscious lyrics. Hailing from Aulnay-sous-Bois, a suburb of Paris, he first made waves in the French hip-hop scene in the early 2000s. Sefyu (whose real name is Youssef Soukouna) gained attention with his distinctive voice and style, often delivering hard-hitting rhymes with a gritty edge. He's known for often obscuring his face during performances and in the media, maintaining a low profile while letting his music speak for itself.

His debut album, Qui Suis-Je?, dropped in 2006 and set the tone for a career focused on themes like identity, struggle, and life in the French banlieues. He followed it up with successful releases like Suis-Je Le Gardien de Mon Frère? and Oui Je Le Suis, further establishing his place in the French rap landscape. With a mix of street realism and an unmistakable flow, Sefyu remains a respected voice in French hip hop.
