Yuval Weinberg

Yuval Weinberg is an Israeli conductor and choir leader born on May 28, 1990, in Tel Aviv. He began his musical journey as a pianist and singer in the Israeli Youth and Children's Choir Li-Ron. Weinberg studied orchestral conducting at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv before moving to the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin to focus on choral conducting. He furthered his education with a master's degree in choral conducting at the Oslo Music Academy. Weinberg has worked with numerous prestigious choirs, including the Rundfunkchor Berlin and the MDR-Rundfunkchor. Since 2020, he has been the chief conductor of the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart. He has received several awards for his work, including the Gary Bertini Nachwuchspreis for Israeli choral conductors.

Weinberg's recent projects include recording György Ligeti's complete works for a cappella choir with the SWR Vokalensemble. His repertoire often features a wide range of choral music, from classical to contemporary pieces. Weinberg's leadership and artistic vision have been recognized through his collaborations with various international ensembles and his contributions to the choral music scene.
