George Kahumoku, Jr.

George Kahumoku Jr. is a celebrated Hawaiian musician, best known for his mastery of slack key guitar. He has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been recognized with an N Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award. Kahumoku is not only a talented musician but also a dedicated steward of Hawaiian culture and land. He founded the Hawaiian Music Institute at the University of Hawai'i-Maui College to preserve Hawaiian music traditions and educate future generations.
