Ulrich Matthes
Ulrich Matthes is a German actor born on 9 May 1959 in West Berlin, best known internationally for his portrayal of Joseph Goebbels in the 2004 film Downfall. He trained in acting in Berlin and has had a long career on stage and screen, holding ensemble positions at major German theatres (including the Münchner Kammerspiele and Deutsches Theater Berlin) and receiving numerous awards such as the Deutscher Theaterpreis Der Faust and the Grimme-Preis.
