Parachute

Parachute is an American pop-rock band hailing from Charlottesville, Virginia. Formed in 2006, the band initially emerged under the name Sparky's Flaw while its founding members were still in high school, later changing their name to Parachute in 2008. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Will Anderson, drummer Johnny Stubblefield, and keyboardist and bassist Kit French. Known for their melodic hooks, earnest lyrics, and charismatic performances, Parachute gained widespread attention with their debut studio album, "Losing Sleep," released in 2009 under Mercury Records, which spawned hits like "She Is Love" and "Under Control."

Over their career, Parachute has consistently delighted fans with their energetic blend of pop, rock, and soul influences, marked by Anderson's emotive voice and the band's tight musicianship. They continued to build their legacy with albums such as "The Way It Was" (2011), "Overnight" (2013), and "Wide Awake" (2016), each showcasing their growth in songwriting and appeal. Their single "Had It All," along with its acoustic and remixed versions, exhibits their ability to create music that resonates across different formats, while "Emotion Sickness" and "Young" demonstrate their continued evolution in sound. Recognized for powerful ballads and vibrant pop anthems alike, Parachute's music reflects life’s highs and lows, capturing hearts with relatable stories and infectious rhythms.
