Scar Symmetry

Scar Symmetry is a Swedish melodic death metal band known for their unique blend of heavy guitar riffs, harmonic melodies, and dual-vocal styles. The group was formed in 2004 and quickly began to make waves in the metal community with their debut album, "Symmetric in Design," which was released in 2005. Their follow-up albums, "Pitch Black Progress" (2006) and the critically acclaimed "Holographic Universe" (2008), cemented their reputation for delivering complex arrangements combined with aggressive metal and melodic interludes.

The band's exploration of themes surrounding transhumanism, spiritual awakening, and existential queries has placed them at the forefront of progressive metal. With their 2009 release, "Dark Matter Dimensions," and the conceptually ambitious two-part album series "The Singularity," with "Phase I - Neohumanity" released in 2014 and the later installment "Phase II - Xenotaph" further advancing their narrative and musical complexity, Scar Symmetry has continued to push the boundaries of the genre. Incorporating futuristic narratives with the virtuosity of progressive metal, the band captivates listeners with a thought-provoking auditory experience. Despite lineup changes through the years, Scar Symmetry has managed to maintain a consistent quality of output that keeps fans eager for their innovative approach to metal.
