Benny Hill

Benny Hill was a beloved English comedian, actor, and singer who became a household name thanks to his long-running television program, "The Benny Hill Show." Born Alfred Hawthorne Hill in 1924, he adopted the stage name Benny and rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s with his slapstick humor, double entendres, and musical comedy sketches.

Hill's comedy often featured cheeky songs and skits, with one of his most famous being "Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West)," which became a UK number one hit in 1971. His show ran for decades, gaining popularity not just in the UK but also internationally, especially in the US. Despite some controversy over his style of humor in later years, Benny Hill remains an iconic figure in British comedy history.
