Markéta Foukalová is a versatile Czech singer known for her expansive musical range, blending genres like pop, jazz, electronic, and contemporary classical music. She is best recognized as the frontwoman of the alt-pop band Lanugo, which has released several albums and is currently working on its fifth. Beyond her band work, Markéta also pursues solo projects and collaborations, including the notable jazz-poetry album *Svou chvíli*, recorded with pianist Martin Brunner and the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, which features a world premiere of music set to poems by Věra Koubová.
In addition to performing, Foukalová is an experienced voice teacher and choir leader at the Jan Deyl Conservatory.
